Kendra Wilkinson has shared a powerful post hitting back at trolling she’d faced about her image.
The 39-year-old is best known for being one of the late Hugh Hefner’s ex-girlfriends, having starred on The Girls Next Door alongside Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt.
Kendra was the youngest of his trio of girlfriends at the time, moving into the mansion when she was just 19 years old.
Now, 20 years after the show, the mom-of-two shared a defiant post after facing cruel comments from trolls.
Sharing selfies taken in a mirror, Kendra told her followers: “Yes, I’ve gained weight. Yes, im aging. Yes, I’m not that girl i was before (playboy girl) but for once in a long time I feel good and mentally healthy.
“Kids are my everything. Feeling pretty balanced. Working out and cooking a lot more. Golf, work. No housekeeper or nanny.”
She continued: “For those of you hating on my new weight, 40 yr old face please know that I’m happy, healthy and at peace in life finally.
“Leave me alone and respect that I’m where I actually want to be finally all together.”
She concluded the post by telling her followers: “Almost 40 is feeling amazing and yes to the people criticizing my alcohol intake…I hear you and that will be monitored better. Drinking too much is definitely drinking too much but you know what’s coming up in JUNE…. Shots. Love ya.”
Kendra, who now works in real estate, was casually dressed in the post, wearing black leggings and a white tank top as she posed in the mirror.
Her fans flooded her comment section with support, writing: “Weight is only a number. It’s about how you feel inside. Asking as you’re happy and healthy, then that’s all that matters. 40 is the new 21, it’s amazing. And 40 looks good on you ‘nearly, come june'”.
Others added: “Now Kendra you know you are still that girl stop playing,” and: “Girl you look amazing! I always say even 1 more trip around the sun is a blessing! Embrace every year! And cheers.”
Kendra shares son Hank Jr., 15, and daughter Alijah, 10, with her ex-husband Hank Baskett.
The couple was married from 2009 until 2018 and the former Playboy model revealed last year that she has been celibate since she broke up with the former NFL player.
She told People in January 2024: “It’s been so long since I’ve had sex — it’s been so long that I’ve had any.
“Because I shamed myself on my sexuality too. Everyone sees me as a sex icon, so I shamed myself. I shamed myself, and I stayed away from anything sex.”
