Anyway, the 63-year-old attended the Golden Globes over the weekend and she’s got everyone talking.
The moment occurred when Coolidge was approached by comedian Matt Friend, who performed an uncanny impression of her sipping a drink.
“This is Jennifer Coolidge sipping on a cool drink,” Friend said, adding: “Oh gahd, ahh.”
Turning to the mildly amused Emmy winner, he asked: “Oh gahd, it’s not bahd? It could be worse? Oh gahd. Do you think it is good? Yes or no?”
After listening intently, Coolidge responded in her true voice, saying: “You were very good. You were right up there with Ariana’s [Grande].”
In case you were unaware, Ariana Grande is remarkably good at impressions.
But Coolidge’s voice has sent shockwaves across the world as people aren’t familiar with her talking like this.
“I feel bamboozled, hoodwinked, lead astray,” one person wrote on X, as another added: “Has my entire life been a lie?!”
Another fan said: “I’ve never heard her real voice till now. Somehow I just want her to have the other voice lol.”
Coolidge also made headlines during the Golden Globes with her candid response to a reporter’s question.
When asked: “What’s exciting you about being a woman in Hollywood in 2025?” she quipped: “You can eat whatever you want now.”
The remark quickly went viral, with fans on TikTok calling her “a national treasure” and praising her for “keeping it real”.
In other Coolidge news that is unrelated to her voice, the actress previously opened up about how American Pie impacted her personal life.
During an interview with Ariana Grande, the 63-year-old actress reflected on the unexpected benefits of her breakout role in the comedy classic.
“American Pie was just – it helped my dating life in a way that I can’t ever explain,” Coolidge previously shared with Entertainment Weekly. “If I hadn’t had that movie, I don’t think… Well, let’s just say it would’ve been a very dull decade.”
While speaking with Coolidge, Grande didn’t shy away from a cheeky question.
“You’ve spoken publicly about the tremendous impact that playing Stifler’s Mom has had on your life. In particular, how much d**k it’s gotten you,” Grande quipped.
“Do you remember the best d**k you got from playing Stifler’s Mom? Do you keep in touch?”
After assuring Coolidge she didn’t have to answer, the actress responded with humor.
“No, I’m glad you asked this because, you see, I did say that jokingly and, God, you really can’t make jokes in our town, because I did make the terrible mistake of saying, ‘Thank God for that movie, I got to sleep with 200 men,’ or whatever,” Coolidge said.
“I would love to say that was true, but I mean, that was sort of an exaggeration – so I’m glad you’re asking me.”
