Eminem’s family tree is expanding as his daughter Hailie Jade, 28, is pregnant and expecting her first baby with her husband Evan McClintock. Meet all the members in the rapper’s family.
Prepare to lose yourself in Eminem‘s family tree.
After all, his 28-year-old daughter Hailie Jade is expecting her first baby with her husband Evan McClintock— meaning the “Stan” rapper will soon be a grandfather.
In fact, Slim Shady was quite surprised to find himself in such a position. As seen in the new music video for his song “Temporary,” his jaw was practically on the floor when Hailie—who he shares with ex-wife Kim Scott—presented him with a Buffalo Bills jersey bearing the words “Grandpa.”
And Eminem’s mouth remained agape when he saw an ultrasound of Hailie’s baby on the way, flipping the image over to the camera to show his excitement.
The pregnancy reveal was one of the many family moments Eminem included in the visuals to “Temporary,” his latest single dedicated to Hailie. In addition to the baby announcement, the Grammy winner included footage of him dancing with Hailie at her May wedding, as well as clips of the father-daughter duo through the years.
Toward the end of the music video, a card from Hailie addressed to her dad was shown on screen.
“Thank you for doing everything you do & always being there for us girls,” she wrote, referencing siblings Alaina Scott, 31, and Stevie Scott, 22. “You truly are the best dad in the world. Love you forever + 100 million dollars forever ever & always.”
Indeed, Eminem (real name Marshall Mathers) is fiercely protective of his brood. Despite his bustling rap career, the 8 Mile star has managed to shield Hailie and her siblings from the spotlight for most of their childhood, quietly raising them in a Detroit suburb.
“When I think about my accomplishments, that’s probably the thing I’m the most proud of is being able to raise kids,” he shared on Mike Tyson‘s YouTube show Hotboxin’ in 2020. “It’s important to keep your kids grounded when they’re in a situation like I have. It’s very important.”
The 52-year-old continued, “People also think, too, that money just buys happiness—that absolutely is not the truth. You’ve got to be right inside otherwise none of this s–t means nothing.”
