A woman has shared the two words her husband said moments after they’d exchanged vows which she knew were an enormous red flag for their future marriage.
Getting married is often one of the happiest days in a couple’s life, as you exchange vows promising to love and look after one another for the rest of your lives.
And while most people go into their nuptials with good intentions, some marriages don’t end up last ’til death do them part, and some people realize they’re better off getting a divorce.
For many, the realization that they may have made a mistake comes years down the line, but one woman revealed her first red flag came moments after walking down the aisle thanks to a comment her new husband made.

The bride, who goes by @noiwontthanks on TikTok, shared the shocking moment that “haunted” her for her decade-long marriage before she finally left her husband.
She revealed in a viral video which she later made private: “My husband ruined our wedding day.”
While she hadn’t been planning to ever make the story public, she revealed she wanted to speak out after witnessing countless other women who “realized the day they got married they had made a mistake”.
She revealed that she and her partner had decided to get married after just four months together, heading to the magistrate to do the deed rather than opting for a big wedding and all the stress and attention that comes with it.
The couple tied the knot at the local courthouse and at first the bride was “very happy” and everything seemed “good”.
However, about a minute after the ceremony concluded, things were about to start going downhill, as the groom uttered two words that would stick with her forever.
After the couple finished exchanging vows, the judge, who enjoyed officiating weddings, told them that he’d love to hear from them in 10 years time for an update on their lives and relationship.
The bride agreed, before joking: “Hopefully I fit in the same dress.”
What happened next left her devastated as she revealed: “My husband of about 60 seconds did not miss a beat, and he said ‘or smaller’.”
She revealed that she looked at her husband’s face as he said it to see if he was joking, but he wasn’t laughing, and the comment later led to a fight between them.
“I died inside and I froze like a statue. I just felt like I couldn’t even breathe,” she revealed.
“My heart just broke. I looked at the judge and he was floored. He said, ‘Son, you just got married; and that’s when I was like, ‘Oh, I’m not crazy. My intuition is correct. I am not crazy. This is bad,’” she explained.
Despite starting off their marriage with that cruel clanger, she and her husband stayed together for a decade before getting divorced.
She alleged that during this time she suffered years of “psychological abuse”, “gaslighting” and “love bombing”, and believes that the comment on her wedding day was a big red flag from the start.
The woman told her followers: “He would convince me that I’m crazy or dramatic. But I’m none of those things, actually.
“He hated my guts from the beginning. I hope this helps [other people].”
She revealed in a follow-up video that she’d decided to make the video private because she felt she’d given him “some power” by making the video, which made her feel “icky”, however, her followers praised her for sharing her story to raise awareness.
